    Walking is NOT one of the best for leg lymphedema. It makes the swelling worse because of the impact. Bike riding or an elliptical are better. I can tell you that as a patient since 1991 and fitness trainer, sports performance coach, and someone who has studied physical therapy.

    I hear many people with LE walking/jogging in the pool. Just being in the water will help move lymph system by water movement. I’m happy to hear about the swim breath helping the flow of the lymph system.
    I don’t like walking due to tight shoes, tight garments. It feels like I’d be prone to blisters or skin irritations. I’ve found that QiGong walking to be quite doable and helpful. I just learned of it and just started indoors and will try it outdoors.
